Hawaiian Burger with Teriyaki Mayonnaise

My Hawaiian Burger with Teriyaki Mayonnaise will add some flavor to your summer barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 8 oz can pineapple rings
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 hamburger rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

Teriyaki Sauce

  1. In a small bowl mix together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger.

Teriyaki Mayonnaise

  1. In a small bowl mix together the mayonnaise and 2 TBS of the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Set aside

Burgers

  1. In a large bowl mix together by hand the ground beef and the rest of the teriyaki sauce until well incorporated.
  2. Cover half of the grill grate with aluminium foil.
  3. Place the burgers on the foil and cook for 6-8 minutes per side.
  4. Once the burgers are cooked top with a slice of provolone cheese.
  5. While the cheese is melting, place 4 pineapple rings on the grill grate.
  6. Cook the pineapple about 1 minute per side, until they are charred.
  7. Place a pineapple ring on top of each burger.
  8. Slather the hamburg roll with the teriyaki mayonnaise and enjoy!
