My favorite teacher was Mrs. Hultgren. She didn’t want any of her students to go to college unprepared. She would pile on the work and really pushed up beyond what we thought we could do. I wish you could still push students like this, but now we have to lower the standards so that all students can be successful. Very sad indeed.

  21. One of my favorite teachers was in third grade. She was just really sweet to me and she encouraged us to do what we loved. She also read us a lot of books out loud and I LOVE to read.

My grade eight teacher helped a painfully shy girl get some confidence. By the end of the school year Mr Garrity had me volunteering to say speaches in front of the class.

My Foods and Home Economics teacher was supportive of me throughout my high school career. I was a peer educator, so she and I often traveled together to different organizations. I developed a great bond with her. Thanks.

I had a science teacher that went above and beyond. Because I completed physics as a junior ,he created a separate curriculum and allowed me to take an advanced physics class during my senior year in high school so I could continue on in my science endeavors.

My favorite teacher was my 2nd grade teacher, and one of the reasons I have a degree in early childhood education.
I had just moved, and was having a hard time adjusting. She helped me meet my best friend, and always did the best activities in our classroom. She put real meaning to the term creative education; for example, one time we decorated the whole classroom as a jungle, 3-D trees and all. I knew I wanted to help children to learn in a similar fashion.
