I loved reading “A Mouse Told His Mother” to my kids over and over when they were younger. It had beautiful illustrations and the story provided an easy goodnight routine for us.

Cat in the hat as I love rhyming.
My favorite is Good Night Moon. It would always comfort me before bed when I was a kid.
the fire engine that could . my son loves this book mverno@roadrunner.com
my favorite children’s book is “green eggs and ham” by dr. seuss. it changed my view of books when i was in 1st grade and our teacher made us green eggs and ham to consume while we read it in class. it made a big impact, and i have read it to my son, who is not as interested in reading as i was growing up. i think this book may help me find a new way to build his interest in literature–i know it has been a lifelong passion ever since that 1st grade class.
Goodnight Moon, This is the book that my children love to have read to them and can hear over and over and it never gets old.

“Oh The Place You’ll Go” – Dr. Seuss – it was a childrens book with a grown up message.
Little House on the Prairie
Always felt some kind of connection to the time period and way of life.
“Charlotte’s Web”; it was a catalyst for my love of reading!
loved the velvateen rabbit, it was special because I loved the story and reading it under the covers at night. I know you may want us to say our moms reading it made it special maybe, but I had a single working mom so my very early love of reading was inborn I guess. In fact, the fact that others didn’t have the time to read to me may have been what led to early reading – not that I’m not a BIG supporter of reading with your kids!
I’m following you! and subscribed too.
My little one is only 9 months, but she does have a favorite already. She loves the personalized book we got her. It spells her name, and has lots of cool animals. She laughs everytime we read it.

My personal favorite is The Lorax. As a child I just thought it was a fun book, as I got older I grew to appreciate the environmental message behind it too.
