Well, this is it. I have worked 3 months to reach this day. I have learned a lot about .html, .php, SEO, SMO and all sorts of other letter combinations I never knew existed before. Today is the day I say “Goodbye and thank you.” to Blogger/blogspot and “Hello!” to Word Press. I love Blogger and didn’t want to move but, in the last 3 months I have learned this move was necessary and inevitable. For Mom Maven to become what she is destined to become, I must own the content and that is not possible on this platform. I fought it tooth and nail but everyone I sought advise from told me it had to be done.
I’ll be spending the rest of today on the move. If all goes well, your links will redirect but-I’m doing this myself so who knows. I don’t have the hundreds of dollars that was asked for by the pros who move blogs for a living. This is why it has been a 3 month process of learning how to do this.
Lord willing by tomorrow you can check out my new digs. In case I mess something up and your old links don’t work-my new home will be http://themommaven.com.
